DVCanvass is a nonprofit fundraising agency. Our teams canvass door-to-door, connecting people in their communities with the charitable causes they care about. We are looking for experienced fundraisers, field managers, and directors who are ready to lead a door canvass team. 

The Assistant Canvass Director is one of the principal managers of the Portland door canvass team. They work with the lead Canvass Director to recruit and develop a team of canvassers dedicated to building funding and grassroots power for Greenpeace, the world's largest, independent environmental non-profit.

Candidates should be solutions-oriented, receptive to feedback, and eager to grow with a growing company. The ideal candidate is passionate about community outreach and must be committed to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion.

Candidates must have door-to-door fundraising/canvassing/organizing experience.

a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day of a DVCanvass door office, such as payroll, scheduling, and map cutting.
  • Recruiting and developing new employees, including facilitating orientations.
  • Training and optimizing the performance of a team of 9-20 door-to-door fundraisers and team leaders.
  • Door-to-door fundraising with the team in the field multiple times a week.
  • Working with the Canvass Director to strategize around hitting and maintaining budget.
